Eleventh consecutive year
Many of you have generously supported me taking on the Smith Family Challenge to raise money for the Smith Family's Learning for Life program.
Through our ongoing support of the Smith Family, we have had the benefit of hearing numerous first hand stories of how effective this broad based program has been in breaking the cycle of disadvantage through supporting the primary school education needs of so many Australian children. To date, thanks to the incredible support of many of you, we have raised approximately $14 million through the years that the Challenge has been running.
Thus for the eleventh consecutive year, I’m yet again asking for your support. This coming weekend, Team E&P (me, Tanya, Gus and Sam) will cover over 100kms racing through the bush on foot and on bikes, in kayaks and in water, this year from Sussex Inlet.
This will be a gruelling couple of days. My team mates are significantly younger and fitter than me. I can assure you that we will do justice to your generosity.
We are also grateful for the backing of E&P for this great cause.
